Denis Volkov graduated from Guilford College, where he earned a degree in Political Science (with honors). He then studied at the University of Minnesota Law School, earning his Law degree cum laude in 2007. Denis began his career in the civil litigation department of a prominent law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, defending insurance companies. Gaining a unique experience into the insurance business, Denis now uses this valuable insight to serve his clients’ interests.

Denis is recognized as a Board-Certified Specialist in workers’ compensation law by the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization.  Board certification is the highest level of specialization lawyers can achieve in the legal industry in North Carolina. The certification process involves a rigorous exam, strict continuing legal education requirements, a comprehensive peer review from fellow practitioners and adverse counsel, and at least a five-year focus on the area of certification. The North Carolina State Bar, an agency of the State of North Carolina, certifies lawyers as specialists in designated practice areas as a service to the public. The program assists members of the public in the selection of legal counsel by identifying lawyers who have demonstrated special knowledge, skill, and proficiency in certain areas of law.
